Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) chairman A Sakthivel has thanked Union Minister of Textiles Smriti Zubin Irani for facilitating release of pending benefits under Rebate of State Levies (RoSL).
“I sincerely thank you for your prompt and quick action in facilitating release of our long-pending benefit of RoSL, which I understand has been approved by the Government and this benefit will accrue to our members soon,” Sakthivel wrote in a letter to the Minister.
Sakthivel said this had been the request of the members in the Apparel Export Industry for a long time and the members would definitely benefit from this measure.
“The present crisis is the biggest challenge faced by our Apparel Export Industry. Your decisive and timely actions are indeed commendable and appreciated by each of our members and your continued support, I am confident, will help mitigate the suffering of the Apparel Industry and the millions of our workers, for which we are indeed obliged,” he said.
Further, on behalf of the members of AEPC, Sakthivel conveyed his gratitude to the Minister for taking several bold and pragmatic initiatives to help the Industry.
