Good news amid COVID19 pandemic — LPG gas cylinder gets cheaper

NEW DELHI

It is good news amid COVID19 pandemic — oil marketing companies on Friday decided cut prices of LPG cylinder between Rs 135 to Rs 192 across India.

Officials said cost of an LPG cylinder in New Delhi has come down from Rs 744 to Rs 581.50.

It is the third cut on the prices of LPG cylinder in three months in India.

Now, one LPG cylinder will cost Rs 579 in Mumbai, Rs 584.50 in Kolkata and Rs 569.50 in Chennai.

Officials said the price of LPG cylinder has been cut due to a slump in the global energy market.

Despite the lockdown, there is enough stock of the LPG cylinders, and there is no scarcity across India, the officials claimed.
