ASSOCHAM’s Vision Meghalaya, Vision North East conference on May 11

ASSOCHAM’s Vision Meghalaya, Vision Northeast virtual conference will be held on May 11.

Perminder Jeet Kaur, director, East and Northeast of ASSOCHAM said Vision Meghalaya, Vision Northeast, Indian – Bangladesh Partnership will be held on Monday afternoon.

Conrad K. Sangma, chief minister of Meghalaya, Jitendra Singh, minister of DoNER and Tipu Munshi, Commerce minister of Bangladesh will attend the virtual conference.

The virtual conference will begin at 2.20 pm with welcome remarks by Deepak Sood, secretary-general of ASSOCHAM.

Vineet Agarwal, senior vice-president of ASSOCHAM and managing director of TCIL will present the industry perspective.

Anil Kishore Singh, CEO, Dredging and Inland Waterways, Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd will come up with inputs as industry experts at the virtual conference.

Key suggestions will be put forward by Shashi Bhushan Shukla, Member (Traffic), Inland Waterways Authority of India.

Paban Kumar Barthakur, chairman of APEDA will speak on the prospects of agro exports from Northeast India.

Md. Jaffar Uddin, secretary of the Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh and Reva Ganguly Das, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh will deliver special addresses.

Conrad K. Sangma will deliver his address from 3.00 to 3.15 pm, followed by an interaction from 3.15 to 3.20 pm.

Tipu Mushi will arrive at the virtual conference at 3.20 pm, and deliver a speech on Indian-Bangladesh relations.

At 3.30 pm, Jitendra Singh will arrive at the virtual conference, and will deliver his speech.

The closing remarks of the virtual conference will be by Vineet Agarwal, senior vice-president of ASSOCHAM.

Meghalaya
